It is said better late than never.
So with that, Stillwater/OSU Sports: The Inside Scoop has been born.
This will be the place to come to get the latest sporting news, whether it's Stillwater High School, area high schools, the community or Oklahoma State Athletics.
We will post here all day every day on what's happening with the local sports scence.
Today the Oklahoma State Cowgirls play Iowa State in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championship. OSU beat ISU just last week in Stillwater and it's still unknown at this time if ISU senior point guard Alison Lacey will play due to a concussion and illness.
Lacey did go through a shootaround with the Cyclones yesterday and indications are she'll try to play this afternoon.
The OSU men are on their way back home after Thursday night's loss to Kansas State. Got to give it up to the KSU fans, there was a lot of purple inside Sprint Center for that game.
The game was truly one of those where no matter what the Cowboys tried, the Wildcats had an answer. You always hate to use the "it was their night" cliche, but truly it was KSU's night last night.
OSU is currently being projected between a 7 to a 9 seed for next week's NCAA tournament. ESPN.com bracketology guru Joe Linardi has the Cowboys an 8 seed playing No. 9 seed Old Dominion in Buffalo, N.Y.
We'll find out for sure Sunday at 5 p.m. when the men's selection are released.
Over on the women's side, ESPN.com has the Cowgirls as a No. 6 seed as of March 10, playing No. 11 seed Iowa in Tallahassee, Fla., in the first round.
We'll have more from tonight's women's game later.
